Think tanks come in different sizes and different agendas. The term “Think Tank” is derived from a US-based think tank called RAND Corporation that operated as secure and closed environs for the strategists of the USA after WWII. It got fame after the 1960s when a group of specialists began to study key issues of policy. According to UNDP (2003) “Organizations engaged regularly in research and advocacy on any matter related to public policy. They (think tanks) are the bridge between knowledge and power in modern democracies”. The think tank works as a thinker and is a connector between the researchers and those people who are in the decision-making process. Think tanks help decision-makers on how to think on a particular issue which could be beneficial for the state. They give a vision for a particular country or a particular conflict or issue between or within states. ReginFocus aims to work on these same above-mentioned goals and is a research institute, dedicated to provide a research-based milieu for policymakers, academicians, scholars, stakeholders, and bureaucrats.
